Discussion week 2

When I read about the sculptures of men and women. The difference that was detected is that pose that the sculptured man had is that he looked like he was deep in though. The women was viewed as by her looks not her brains. The women were viewed as sex objects or things of beauty rather then shown for their abilities in art. Now having said that there have been pictures or other pieces of art where women have been in the role of mother and homemaker. When looking at the "Woman From Dolni Vestonice" sculpture the women appears to be pregnant. Another way of looking at that sculpture is that it is supposed to be a suggestive pose of a fat naked woman. It depends on ones point of view.
